Mandalas
Creating mandalas has always been a form of deep meditation for me. I began painting dot mandalas on round, smooth stones I found in rivers, creeks, and landscape supply stores. In recent years, I've been making large-scale dot mandalas on square pieces of wood that I painted black. The process of making dot mandalas is extremely therapeutic for me in the sense of adhering to ordered symmetry while simultaneously experimenting with color palettes and how different colors interact with each other in patterned forms. Below are images of some of my large mandala pieces and mandala stones.
